Rising Voices is an international project aimed at strengthening the participation of young women aged 15–20—especially those from vulnerable backgrounds and minority groups—in societal decision-making. The project offers free training, mentoring, and community activities to equip participants with the skills and confidence they need to influence society and increase their political representation.
Project activities include:
- Skills Development Programme: 12 young women are selected to participate in approximately eight workshops covering political advocacy, communication, and leadership.
- Mentorship Programme: Small-group mentoring with experienced women mentors who have political backgrounds.
- Community Projects: Participants design and implement a community-based project or advocacy campaign.
The project will run from 2025 to 2027. As a result, at least 60 young women from across Europe—including 12 in Finland—will take part in the training and mentoring programmes, supported by over 20 experienced women mentors. The project aims to create long-term impact by strengthening political participation and making decision-making more equal.
The project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme (KA220-YOU) and is implemented in cooperation with four European partner organisations.
