The Restoration Academy project organized a restoration camp in Friesland, the Netherlands. Watch the video to see what the camp was like!
At the camp held in May 2025, young people from across Europe had the opportunity to carry out restoration work on peatlands in Friesland. Friesland is located in the northern part of the Netherlands. At the camp, participants learned about peatlands, paludiculture, and climate resilience. They were encouraged to learn, question, and rethink their role in nature. Among other things, the campers got to plant and seed typhas in the peatlands themselves.
