Manual of Good Practices to Promote Sports as an Equal Playground

Sports as an Equal Playground (SPED) was a joint Erasmus+ Sport project initiative of four European organizations from Finland, Hungary, Lithuania and Italy to encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in and through youth sport activities.

Sport has been proven to be an effective tool for inclusion besides being a tool for health and personal development. So the aim of the project was to share good practices and learn new ways to engage young people from different cultural backgrounds and with fewer opportunities by using sport as a tool for youth work.

The outcomes of the project include a manual of good practices intended especially for sport organizations and instructors working with young people, as well as a podcast series. They are addressed to all interested in promoting social inclusion in and through youth sport activities: all types of sport organizations and clubs, trainers, instructors.

The manual and podcasts will offer insights on how to encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sports, as well as youth participation, and will guide you to benefit from or use the tools presented in developing your own activities.
