The CLIMentines Project Ends: Explore the Results and Materials

The two-year CLIMentines project, funded by Erasmus+ European Youth Together, has concluded. During the project, we strengthened the skills of youth workers and promoted young people’s participation in climate action, while also developing guides and methods to support climate advocacy in youth work and other fields working with young people.

Together with six partner countries, we achieved significant results:

  • Around 100 members joined the international online forum created by the project.
  • A total of 146 young people, youth workers, and other experts participated in co-creation workshops for project materials.
  • 38 youth work professionals took part in an international training in Bologna, Italy.
  • 142 participants attended the project webinars.
  • 190 decision-makers and young people engaged in policy dialogue events.
  • 103 young people joined national task forces and implemented local climate actions.
  • 36 young people participated in an international youth exchange in Athens, Greece.
  • The communication campaign reached approximately 10,000 young people.

Throughout the project, we also produced several practical guides and tools, all available for free download:

  • Scoping Study: Presents two EU-level practices and two practices from each partner country that support youth climate advocacy and projects, provide financial support for climate action, and/or serve as a link between young people and decision-makers.
  • Youth Workers Guide to Climate Action: Offers both a theoretical foundation and practical tools for using participatory and deliberative democracy methods. It explains the differences and connections between these forms of democracy and provides concrete tools for working with young people.
  • CLIMentines Toolbox: Designed for youth workers, organizations, and educators to support youth climate action. It includes practical tips, tools, and resources for communication, increasing impact, and organizing demonstrations and campaigns.
  • CLIMentines Activity Plans: Complements the CLIMentines Toolbox with 14 interactive exercises/workshops related to sustainable development and climate change.
  • Youth Climate Action Starter Pack: A guide for young people interested in climate activism. It compiles essential information and tools to effectively engage in climate action and provides a clear overview of how to make your voice heard at local, national, and European levels.
