#ErasmusDays: An Overview of Our International Projects

International projects and activities have become an important part of Youth Academy’s work. International collaboration has been highlighted as a key element in our updated strategy last year. Have you kept up with all the international activities we currently have underway?

Through international cooperation, we are better able to tackle transnational challenges and find solutions to them. This collaboration also fosters dialogue between different cultures, helping to increase understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.

In honor of #ErasmusDays, here’s an overview of our ongoing international activities:

  • The Game In project, which started in September 2024, maps and pilots digital and gamified methods for youth participation together with five partner organizations. The project includes organizations from Finland, Estonia, Italy, and Bosnia and Hertzegovina. In addition, local partnerships are established with municipalities and organizations in each country.
  • DiscoverEU, an action under the Erasmus+ Programme, offers 18-year-old Europeans the opportunity to travel by train across Europe. Youth Academy is organizing international meet up events for young train travelers in Finland in 2024–2026.
  • The CLIMentines project (2023–2025) promotes youth participation and influence in climate policy locally and across Europe. It aims to strengthen the skills of youth organizations, youth workers, and young people, providing them with practical tools for active citizenship and climate action, especially through participatory and deliberative democracy. The project is coordinated by our Greek partner KMOP and involves seven partners from six countries: Greece, France, Italy, Austria, Poland, and Finland.
  • The Restoration Academy project aims to create a model and tools for youth organizations and workers to engage young people in nature restoration activities. The project began in September 2023 and will continue until the end of the summer of 2026, with five partner organizations from four countries: Finland, Greece, Slovakia, and the Netherlands.

In addition to these ongoing projects, we have already completed two previous Erasmus+ projects, Inclusion is On and Sports as an Equal Playground.

#ErasmusDays is an annual six-day event celebrating the Erasmus+ program. This year, the event takes place from October 14 to 19, showcasing youth, sports, and education projects supported by the program. #ErasmusDays offers organizations and stakeholders a unique opportunity to present projects enabled by the program and celebrate European collaboration and shared successes.
